The STEM NEXUS Drone Piloting Battle & Drone Soccer League is Malaysia’s premier STEM-based drone challenge designed for students aged 10–17 years old up until university level. It combines fun, education, and competition while giving students a platform to showcase their skills at both national and international levels.

This competition will be held at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) – a great opportunity to showcase your innovation, creativity, and technical skills in a dynamic university environment.

Whether you’re a secondary school student or currently pursuing your diploma/degree, this is your chance to challenge yourself, gain exposure, and connect with like-minded innovators.

Competition Pathways

Drone Piloting Battle

Focus on team (pairs) drone piloting. Challenges include obstacle courses, maze and precision landing. Encourages creativity, and technical mastery.

Drone Soccer League

A thrilling team sport where drones are used like players in a soccer match. Teams strategize to score goals and defend. Builds teamwork, communication, and leadership.

Rules & Regulations

  • Basic Rules (Preview):
  • Age Group: 10–12 (Junior) | 13–16 (Senior)
  • Team Size: 4 players for Drone Soccer | 2 players for Drone Piloting
  • Match Duration: 3–5 minutes per round
  • Scoring System: Points for goals (soccer) or mission completion (competition)
  • Equipment: Drones provided by players or rental/purchase (organizer)
